FAQs

Q: I’m a doctor who treats psoriatic arthritis patients. How do I join?

A: New potential members are required to contact info@britpact.org. We welcome applications from medical professionals in the UK with an interest in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.  We will keep all members up to date with BritPACT projects and will send details of the annual meeting.

Q: I am a lay person, not a doctor. Can I join BritPACT?

A: We already have two patient research partners who are members of the steering committee: Mr Andrew Parkinson and Ms Mel Brooke.  If you are interested in joining BritPACT as a patient partner or attending the annual educational meeting, please contact info@britpact.org.

Further information and patient support is available from organisations for lay people interested in learning more about psoriatic arthritis.  In the UK, please visit the Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance (PAPAA). Internationally, a good resource is the International Federation of Psoriasis Associations.

Q: How is BritPACT supported? Can representatives from pharmaceutical companies join BritPACT?

A: Persons employed by Industry may not apply for regular membership. However, industry representatives may attend programs as sponsor /corporate members.  We are deeply appreciative of industry support, which is yearly and enables those working for our corporate members to attend our events.  Contact info@britpact.org  for more information and a fact sheet on additional benefits of corporate membership.

Q: Does BritPACT charge membership fees?

A: No fees are charged to regular members.

Q: What are the benefits and responsibilities of membership?

A: Members are kept apprised of current research and educational meetings related to psoriatic arthritis, particularly in the UK.  Members will be invited to participate in meetings held annually.

We would ask for your assistance time to time with projects and may contact you for surveys or for those interested in participating in BritPACT research projects.
