The Odiham Motorcycle Club OMCC ran their annual Charity Mopedathon in early October. Thirty-Six teams took part, endurance racing began to take their toll on both riders and machines, however at the end around 20 teams completed the event and there were smiles all round when the chequered flag was shown.
Whilst the event is great fun it has a serious side – OMCC fund the running of the Mopedathon in order to ensure that all of the contributions made by the teams go direct to good causes. This year the funds raised have been distributed as follows:
£1800 has been donated to the British Psoriatic Arthritis ConsorTium (BritPACT) and another £1800 has been donated to Prostate Cancer UK.
Brit-PACT is so grateful to the OMCC for the funds raised from the Mopedathon, these funds will go towards our work continuing to support research to improve treatment for patients with PsA.
